New To Piedmont Intermediate

Parents,

I would like to introduce myself and our new staff at Piedmont Intermediate.  My name is Zac Selph and I am the new principal at Piedmont Intermediate. I started my career in Putnam City and have spent the past nine years in Piedmont.  I have previously taught at the high school, coached boy's soccer, and was an assistant principal at Northwood Elementary.

This year will be an exciting year at Piedmont Intermediate.  We have added an advisory period to allow students an extra 25 minutes each day to work toward mastery of the skills they are learning in their classes. They will have the opportunity to receive tutoring in any classes they feel they need some extra help during this time. Also, our teachers will be using technology and creating new projects to help increase student engagement and to broaden our students’ mastery of skills.

We are looking forward to a great 2019-2020 school year.

Zac Selph

Piedmont Intermediate Principal

My name is Jennifer Luttmer and I’m honored to be Piedmont Intermediate’s assistant principal.

From very early on, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I began my teaching career over 13 years ago, leaving student teaching early to take over a 6th-grade class in need of a teacher. From there, I have taught in multiple grade levels including 5th grade, 2nd grade, and most recently the 4th grade. I love and have loved teaching. While I have been honored with several teaching awards, including being selected as a Top 12 Finalist for the state of Oklahoma in 2015, my greatest sense of accomplishment is when I know I have made a difference in the life of a child.

On a personal level, I have been married to my husband, Robert, for almost 13 years. He is a teacher at Piedmont High School. We have two children; Jake, 9 years old, and Bryson, 7 years old.

I am thrilled to be at Piedmont Intermediate this year!

Shantaya and her husband, Clint, moved to Piedmont to be closer to family.  She is looking forward to raising her family in Piedmont and becoming a part of the community. She will be teaching 5th-grade reading.
